VCN- 5,048 cars of less than nine seats were imported to Vietnam in the first half of May valued at US$18,000/car (excluding tax) equivalent to more than VND400 million, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC).

In the first half of May, 7,169 CBU cars were importedto Vietnam, with a total turnover of US$163 million.
1,087 trucks were imported, with a turnover of US$28.8 million.
In the first half of May, the whole country imported 57,352 CBU cars, showing a turnover of US$1.286 million.
Thailand, Indonesia and China are the three largest car exporters to Vietnam.
By the end of April, 25,732 cars were imported from Thailand with a turnover of US$474.8 million.
13,873 cars were imported from Indonesia with a turnover of US$172.8 million. And 6,633 cars were imported from China with a turnover of US$247 million.
The total volume of 46,238 cars imported from these major markets accounts for 92.2% of the country’s total imported cars.
The volume of cars imported from China grew by 480% yearon year.
