VCN – Customs Enforcement Team No. 1 (Quang Ninh Customs Department) has tackled several cases of transporting footwear and cosmetics showing signs of counterfeiting NIKE brand.

Specifically, from April 4 to April 9, in the area of Mong Cai city, Quang Ninh city, the Integrated Control Team No. 1 (under the Customs Enforcement Team No.1) deployed a force to detect and seize three consecutive cases of transporting more than 1,000 pairs of sport shoes labelled NIKE brand, and 24 boxes of Yves Saint Laurent makeup powder in the customs operation area.
Working with the working group, the subjects claimed all of the above goods were manufactured in foreign countries. He was hired to transport goods for owners to take freight charges.
At the time of checking the number of goods, there were no invoices or documents proving legal origin.
Currently, Customs Enforcement Team No. 1 made a record of administrative violation, temporarily seized all exhibits, and coordinated with representatives of Nike Vietnam Co., Ltd. to verify and clarify if the goods infringed intellectual property rights to have basis for handling in accordance with regulations.
