According to the Lao Cai Customs Department, updated from the beginning of the year to September 14, the unit’s revenue reached VND 1,150.4 billion, equaling 74.7% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance (VND 1,540 billion); equal to 63.9% of the target assigned by the People’s Council and People’s Committee of Lao Cai province (VND 1,800 billion).

Regarding import and export activities through the area, in the third quarter, import and export activities through the border gates in Lao Cai still faced many difficulties. However, Ha Khau district (China) continued to relax social distancing following the “Flexible Zero Covid-19” policy.

The main export items included: phosphorus, cassava, wood, peeled board, and dragon fruit; while the main import items were: fertilizers, chemicals, coke, electricity, agricultural products, machinery and equipment, and consumer goods.
