VCN –As of April 7, Lao Cai Customs Department collected VND403.8 billion, reaching 23.2% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance (VND1,735 billion), 21.2% of the target assigned by the People’s Council and People’s Committee of Lao Cai province (VND1,900 billion) and a year-on-year increase of 1.9%.

Regarding procedures for import and export goods, as of April 7, total import and export turnover in Lao Cai Customs Department totaled US$524.4 million (up 52% over the same period of last year).
Of which, exports were US$353.3 million and importswere US$171.1 million
In addition, the total value of goods imported and exported through the province (including other customs regimes) reached US$633.5 million.
The main export items at Lao Cai Customs are agricultural products, dragon fruits, mangoes, bananas, cassava, coffee, confectionery, footwear, wood and wood products. While imported goods are mainly vegetables and fruits, chemicals, fertilizers, steel products, machinery, iron and steel.

Lao Cai Customs also works with other agencies in management and handle procedures for 43,433 entries and exits for vehicles, of which Chinese vehicles were 20,111 and Vietnamese vehicles were 23,322.
