VCN – The General Department of Vietnam Customs issued Decision 1357/QD-TCHQ is promulgating the table of type of import and export codes and instruction.

This decision will take effect from June 1, 2021 and replaces Official Letter 2765/TCHQ-GSQL dated April 1, 2015 of the General Department of Vietnam Customs on customs procedure codes in the VNACCS system.
According to the table of type codes issued alongside Decision 1357/QD-TCHQ, there are 16 codes of export type and 24 codes of import type.
The decision of General Department of Vietnam Customs regulating articles for transferring is as follows.
For customs declarations registered under the respective type before the effective date of Decision 1357/QD-TCHQ, if there is a change in the purpose of use, the customs declaration registration under new type of export and import, the new code will be applied in accordance with this decision from the time of registering new customs declaration.
For types of codes specified in this decision, if customs procedures are not specified in the regulations of the Government and circular of the Ministry of Finance, it will not carry out procedures until a specific regulation is issued.
